BEHIND THE BRAND: After spending years studying traditional tailoring, prior to finally form the base of the brand, Aleksandr Manamïs first entered the creative world of garment making in 2007.

Desirous to emphasize ‘work over man’ has kept Manamïs working isolated since the launch almost two decades ago. Being able to observe and study the surroundings anonymously is highly valued by the designer and somewhat a counterreaction to the hyper-available world of today.

Built on the pillars of ancient, romantic notions Aleksandr Manamïs is forever finding inspiration in the poetic works of P. B. Shelley (1792-1822) and J. Keats (1795-1821), as well as in painted portraits of the same era. Colors, details, emotions, decay; all transfers in to the garments like small drops creating the altogether unmistakable silhouette that of Manamïs’.

Aiming to bring a bit of lost beauty till present day is of outmost importance to Aleksandr Manamïs.
